Sweet Love

eyeOut beyond ideas of wrongdoing or rightdoing, there is a field. ?I’ll meet you there. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?~Rumi

One of the sweetest moments of love’s connection is when you look into the eyes of your beloved–or someone you’ve newly met–with a sense of recognition, with a sense of “I am found” or “I belong to you.” ?Everything in that moment rests perfectly still as your eyes peer into the depths of love. ?Like a snowflake resting upon the Earth after its long journey from the heavens, you are home.

That’s what we’re aiming for. ?Total connection. Beginning with yourself. ?From within.

That place where you can peer into yourself and find soul, find space, find recognition, find stillness. ?”In this moment I am home in myself, ever-changing, ever-dancing in time and space.” ?You have found. ?You see into the depths of your own soul, your own self. ?Letting go of all conceptions of who you are, you find love’s gaze within.

It is beyond commitment–it is a recognition of the eternal. ?And yet, to commit to that place of love within you is to bring it out of the esoteric and into the physical. ?To commit is to live the total connection of love’s gaze every day. ?Even when it hurts. ?Even when you don’t feel like it.

Having found within you all you thought you needed from others, you now return to the eyes of your beloved or encounter a friend–and there is that same recognition. ?Looking deeper into those eyes, you realize that the gleam you saw before is simply a reflection of the love you know within. ?Your beloved, your friend becomes a mirror: “I see that you see what I see. ?Ah, so you are also married to love. ?Hello. ?Welcome.”

Like two candles lit beside each other, your love together–each sourced from within–burns stronger, brighter. ?Together, the light cascades across the whole room. ?Imagine, then, what’s possible with three or four or 6 billion individual flames lit by self-discovery: total illumination. ?The light of the sun.
